sculptor niho kozuru

I just met Niho Kozuru.  She is a local artist that creates these incredibly cool cast rubber sculptures.  They are of balustrades, architectural elements and other common objects that are reconfigured to be presented in an entirely new way.

I want to install her spindles in my staircase!  How about cast yellow rubber?  Cool!

urban showhouse: almost open!

I'm pleased to say that the installation of my rooms in the showhouse was completed early in the week.  With some tweaking here and there and some additions and removals, the space is photo ready.  Which is a good thing.  Photographers have been documenting all of the designers spaces over the past few days and the whole place looks great!
Make sure you come by.  Thursday thru Sunday's until May 9th.
I am tempted to post pictures, but I don't want to give it all away!

Enjoy this spring shot for now.
Spring has certainly sprung.
Which means Brimfield is coming up.

a south end design moment

For those of you who have not yet visited, J.E.M. named aptly, is exactly that.  A jem of a boutique on Shawmut Avenue that showcases designers and artists and all sorts of interesting relics.  Coming up on Thursday April 22nd, Jane Miller, owner and designer will be hosting a Spring Salon introducing South End artist Isabelle Abramson.  What a great design event for the wonderful South End.  Check out the invite:
